土耳其作家 Orhan Pamuk 說有些人managed to migrate between languages, cultures, countries, continents, even civilizations. Their imaginations were fed by exile, a nourishment drawn not through roots but through rootlessness (Pamuk, 2004: ISTANBUL: Memories and the City, p. 6)。的的確確,在博斯普鲁斯海峡,在歐亞大陸之間,在東方文明與西方文化交匯與交融的地方,人們似乎可以盡情地放飛想象力,上下千年,縱橫萬里。
